I am very proud to announce that I have been awarded my Licentiate in Cecchetti Ballet with the ISTD- this is a higher level genre specific qualification aimed at teaching to vocational level. After completing my Level 6 Diploma in Dance Pedagogy in 2023, I wanted to take my training further in the Ballet Sector. I have been extremely lucky to have been mentored by the amazing and inspirational Gillian Hurst. A special thank you to @balleteducation for allowing me to observe and take part in your wonderful classes and to @katesimmonsdance for organising my exam.
It has certainly been a challenge studying on maternity leave and taking my exam with an 8 month old, I don’t often say it but I’m so proud of myself for achieving this!
I have learnt so much over the last few years studying for these exams. As teachers we never stop learning and growing.
I am so excited for this new academic year, being back to full time dance teaching and hopefully inspiring all of our wonderful students to believe in themselves!
